USBA Individual Lessons
The United States Bowling Academy offers year round coaching for bowlers of all ages. There are several different options that include Physical and Mental Training.
Lessons can include but not limited to:
- Skill Drills
- Simplified Lane Play
- Personal Spare Systems
- Individual Tune Up
- Warm Up
- Ball Fit & Arsenal
- Mental Engineering for your game.
- And Many More!!
Lessons are taught at J&J Bowling Center in Faribault, MN and Riverboat Lanes in Wabasha, MN.
Lessons at other bowling centers can be arranged.
USBC Level 1 Class
The United States Bowling Academy hosts USBC USA Bowling Class.
The USBA will be sponsoring the USA Bowling Class. This class is a Level 1 class that covers Phase 1 and 2 of USBC Coaching. This class is open to high school and adult bowlers interested in furthering their coaching certifications. This class is FREE!!
Make sure you bring your equipment and be prepared to bowl! Class includes:
- Coaching Philosophy
- On the Lane Drills
Instructors for the day: Jim O’Reilly, Teri Haugh. Complete the online registration to hold your spot.
USBC Bronze Coach
To take the USBC Coaching Bronze course, individuals first must successfully complete Level I certification.
A Bronze class is intermediate level training designed to increase coaching skills and professionalism. This certification is recommended for high school coaches.
The Bronze certification conference focuses on coaching fundamentals and covers:
- Philosophy of coaching
- Fine tuning the physical game
- Lane conditions and adjustments
- The mental game
- Components of the bowling ball
- Dynamics of ball motion
- Video recording
- Video analysis
- Giving a lesson
Prerequisites: Must be at least 16 years of age and a USBC Level I coach. United States citizens 18 or older will not receive access to tests until they have been approved through the Registered Volunteer Program (RVP). RVP is a background check to help ensure a safe environment for USBC youth members and everyone involved. For more information on RVP, click here.
